Below is a list of types of training offered by the Head for Work project. Areas covered in training are based on full day training – please discuss at point of booking the areas you are interested in, particularly if you will be choosing a half day rather than a full day.

  • Culture and stigma around mental health

Emotional & Mental Wellbeing Training

Who is this for?

  • Anyone working with or supporting young people
  • Teaching Staff
  • Mentors
  • Life Coaches
  • Youth Worker

What will it cover?

  • Mental & emotionally wellbeing
  • Diagnosis, signs and symptoms in young people
  • Events that affect young people
  • Positive ways of communicating

Crisis Care Concordat

Who is this for?

  • Frontline staff in non-specialist mental health services from all sectors
  • NHS primary care including reception/practice managers
  • Local authority
  • Voluntary & community sector care providers
  • Private sector care providers
  • Met Police

What will it cover?

  • Understanding of mental health problems. 
  • Understand principles of mental health and recovery.
  • Understanding of key principles of the Crisis Concordat, and local actions.
  • Understanding of principles of co-production and user involvement, and how this relates to crisis care.
  • Knowledge around making better use of local pathways and services for residents.
