Could you volunteer for our mental health information helpline?
Mind in Harrow is currently recruiting volunteers for its helpline, a service that offers mental health support and signposting over the phone. The helpline is also part of the Support & Wellbeing Information Service Harrow (SWiSH), providing help to anyone in Harrow aged 18 or over who needs information about keeping safe and well. This includes information and advice about a wide range of local services, including where to keep fit and well, manage finances, join social groups, look for work, start a course, access help with housing or welfare benefits or apply for a personal budget.
We welcome applications from people of any age (18+), cultural background and life experience. We ask that you commit half a day per week (Mon-Fri) for a year.
Training will be offered over three days: the 22nd, 27th and 29th of June 2017. It will take place at Harrow Baptist Church, College Road, from 10am to 4pm.
If you are interested, please contact Leah Robertson on 020 8515 7862 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. You can find out more about the helpline on its webpage or via the volunteering opportunities page. You can also download the flyer for the training.
