Community Development Worker
Mind in Harrow recruits Community Development Worker - Nisha Wickramasinghe. Her role will be to help people with Mental Health issues connect with a wide variety of services, and making changes in how services are offered such as:
- Supporting people with mental health problems, and their families / carers to look at ways of getting help such as:
- Community Mental Health team support
- Housing
- GP
- Benefits
- Social and Religious groups
- Counselling
- Other services
- Work with community and faith groups - to find out what they want and need to improve their lives.
- Work with service providers, planners and workers across Harrow to influence change and improve the lives of Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) community groups.
