TrainAware

The project
Mind in Harrow TrainAware project trains service users to become accredited trainers with the ultimate goal that they raise awareness of mental health with local employers, communities and organisations in Harrow through tailored workshops.

A quality service
TrainAware trainers are accredited and independently assessed by Middlesex University. They develop and co-facilitate workshops with Mind in Harrow Training Coordinator, Chrystelle Heldire.

Our track record
TrainAware has delivered workshops to local organisations of different sectors including, care services, voluntary sector, the public sector and  local business. As we work across different sectors, we carry out an in depth consultation with our clients so we can tailor our training specifically to their individual needs.

Organisations that have participated in the past include Connexions, the Samaritans and Jobcentre Plus just to name a few.

"The personal experience of the guest speaker who is a service user was just one of the useful aspects of the training for me."

TrainAware – Mental Health Awareness Training

Are you and your staff ever in contact with people who have experienced mental distress? Have you identified a need to enhance knowledge and understanding of the issues?

Despite the increasing numbers of individuals experiencing mental ill health there is still a significant amount of stigma around seeking help. Mind in Harrow’s mental health awareness workshop will help to give those who plan, or work in front line services the tools to manage situations, raise awareness and put into practice what they have learnt.

To get involved in our next workshop please email:
