Become Chair of the Board of Trustees

Chair Role Opportunity!
London Based

Mind in Harrow is looking for the next Chair of its Board of Trustees. If you have the skills, values and commitment for the role and can help make our mission a reality, then we really would like to hear from you.

Mind in Harrow has a strong track record in delivering effective community mental health services as an affiliated charity within the nationally recognised Mind Federation. We are recruiting a Chair to lead a newly refreshed Board of Trustees through a sustained period of organisational growth and development. Working in partnership with an experienced executive leadership team, this is an exciting opportunity to expand the service offer and geographical footprint of Mind in Harrow, collaborating with local Minds operating across North-West London and our Statutory, Community and Voluntary Sector partners.
With a commitment to Mind values and an appetite for change, growth and building internal and external relationships, you would be joining a charity firmly embedded in the diverse communities it serves and one which places those who use our services at its heart.
The Chair role is voluntary with expenses paid. Six full Board meetings per year take place on Monday evenings in central Harrow or virtually via videoconference. Sub committees of the Board also meet at intervals through the year.

We recognise the importance of having a diverse and inclusive Board of Trustees and would therefore welcome applications from people with lived experience of mental health problems and those who reflect the diversity of Harrow’s racialised communities.

The closing date for applications is Friday 7 January 2021
Interviews will be in the week of 17 January 2021

If you would like to have an informal conversation with an acting Trustee before submitting an application, please do email the Chair at: chair@mindinharrow.org.uk
