We are an independent local charity affiliated to national Mind with a mission that we won’t give up until everyone experiencing a mental health problem gets both support and respect. We have an excellent award-winning reputation driven by service user empowerment ethos with £1M income, 40 staff and over 100 volunteers supporting 3,500 people per annum. The day-to-day management of the organisation is undertaken by our senior management team.

We are particularly interested in applications from people with the following experience:

· using mental health services
· legal
· housing
· safeguarding
· human resources
· fundraising.

You will have a passion for mental health and commitment to safeguard those most at risk in our society. Ideally, you will live in Harrow on in the NW London area.

The Trustee role is voluntary with expenses paid, a commitment of approximately 4-8 hours per month.  6 Board meetings per year take place on Monday evenings in central Harrow or currently virtually via video-conference.

We recognise the importance of having a diverse and inclusive Board of Trustees, and would therefore welcome applications reflecting the diversity of Harrow’s BAME communities. We always welcome applications from people with lived experience of mental health problems. We are committed to meeting the reasonable adjustments of disabled people.
