What are the BENEFITS of this project?

This project will support you to improve self-confidence, employability skills and employment opportunities. You will be increasing the knowledge and understanding of mental health for employers, thereby reducing mental health stigma, discrimination and exclusion from employment.

This will be achieved by training service users to provide mental health awareness training to local employers as accredited trainers.

The stages of the project

LEARN: Participants can enrol and will be trained to become an accredited Mental Health Awareness Trainer.

TRAIN: Participants may deliver training sessions to a range of organisations in Harrow about Mental Heath Awareness.

ADVANCE: Participants will receive Continuous Personal or Professional Development in the form of ongoing workshops, coaching and mentoring.

Feedback from LEARN participants

I have enjoyed the course and it has boosted my confidence tremendously.

May 2018

I have loved doing this project – it’s the first time in years I have felt part of something and a sense of belonging.  I feel so much more confident about future employment as before I had none.

May 2018

This project has motivated and inspired me – I feel now I have a positive contribution to make.

May 2018

I am more comfortable around people and talking about myself.  I’m finding it far easier to communicate generally with people.  I am also less worried about the future.
