Heads Up Harrow Launches!

We’re really excited to be launching our new 3 year service, HeadsUp.

HeadsUp is a free and confidential service for young people aged 14-25 in Harrow which aims to support young people in Harrow to improve their mental health, resilience and to build their self-esteem.

Mind in Harrow, Centre for Autism and ADHD, The Mosaic Trust and Paiwand will be working in partnership to provide a mix of peer-led mental wellbeing workshops and specialist one-to-one and group sessions provided by specialist services. The specialist sessions will be for young people from the LGBT and refugee communities and those with ADHD and Autism support needs.

Rachel Deeds, HeadsUp project co-ordinator at Mind in Harrow said,

‘We really excited to be launching HeadsUp. This is the first partnership project of this type in Harrow, which will complement existing young people’s mental health support in Harrow and will meet a unique need.

Mind in Harrow’s role in HeadsUp is to co-ordinate the project and run our Mindkit mental wellbeing workshops. Mind in Harrow volunteers have been working hard to prepare for these workshops. We’re all ready to start and have loads of sessions booked in schools and youth services in from April’
