Do you want to be a Mental Health Champion?

Harrow Service User Group is for people with lived experience of mental health issues – 'experts by experience' –! This is an opportunity to be part of a team of campaigners who change the way mental health services work. We work with GP’s, Councillors, psychiatrists, charities and other service users to make our voices heard and it is a chance to develop resilience and confidence for yourself. Mental Health Champions can be a paid or voluntary. 

If you have ever experienced depression, anxiety, stress or any other mental health problem, are over 18yrs, a Harrow resident, or you are registered with a GP in Harrow; You could join our Mental Health Champion programme and make new friends, campaign for change and develop services.

The training course will consist of 3 training sessions (i.e. one session per week), starting on Thursday 11th October 2018. You will learn confidence and communication training and negotiation skills. After completing you can be paid 10.00 per hour for any subsequent sessional work for the project.
