Mind in Harrow will be closed from 5pm on Thursday 20th December 2018 and will open again at 9.00am on Wednesday 2nd January 2019.

Mental Health Support Services

During office hours your first point of contact should be the person that you usually see (your care coordinator, or named lead professional). Their contact details, or the contact details of your care team, are contained in your care plan and on your Crisis Card.

Harrow Community Mental Health Teams at Bentley House will be available working days and will be closed on: Christmas Day (Dec 25th), Boxing Day (Dec 26th) and New Year’s Day (Jan 1st).

The Single Point of Access (SPA) offers mental health triage for routine, urgent and emergency referrals, mental health sign posting, information and advice 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days per year.

If you have injured yourself or are in immediate danger of doing so, visit your nearest A&E department – in Harrow, this is at Northwick Park Hospital.

If you need someone to speak to over the Christmas period, The Samaritans are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to talk to anyone who needs confidential emotional support. National Samaritans can be contacted on 116 123, while Harrow Samaritans can be contacted on 020 8427 7777. Harrow Samaritans are also available to speak to in person at their 44 Station Road centre, Harrow, HA1 2SQ. 

Harrow Talking Therapies will be closed on:

Christmas Day (Dec 25th), Boxing Day (Dec 26th) and New Year’s Day (Jan 1st)  Dec 24th and Dec 31st will have reduced operating times.

Walk-in centres and Urgent Care Centres 

Walk-in centres and urgent care centres (UCCs) are available as an alternative to accident and emergency (A&E) departments over Christmas. They treat minor illnesses and injuries and you do not need an appointment and will be seen by an experienced nurse or a GP.
