On Thursday, June 5th, we welcomed attendees to the HUG Forum at Harrow Baptist Church for an afternoon of connection, learning, and well-being. With an impressive turnout, the event brought together community members, staff, and partners to explore local mental health support and celebrate the power of community engagement.
The forum opened with a warm welcome and a chance to meet the Mind in Harrow team over lunch. Guests enjoyed informative presentations from Recovery College and Shaw Trust, both of which highlighted key services supporting individuals on their mental health journey.
One of the day’s highlights was a rejuvenating well-being session with Soham Yoga London, who led attendees through gentle techniques to reduce stress and improve emotional balance. Their contribution created a calming and uplifting atmosphere that perfectly captured the essence of the event.
Following a relaxed tea break, the event concluded with reflections and evaluations from attendees, many of whom expressed how valuable and enjoyable the forum had been. The overwhelming positivity and sense of unity made this HUG Forum a true success.
A big thank you to everyone who attended and contributed, especially our collaborators at Soham Yoga London, who helped make the day memorable. Events like this remind us how vital it is to come together, share experiences and support one another.
