From 4 to 10 August 2025, we are joining the nationwide celebration of Local Mind Week – a time to recognise the vital role that local Minds like Mind in Harrow play in supporting our communities.
While most people have heard of Mind, many aren’t aware that Mind is a federation of independent local charities working in partnership with the national organisation. Mind in Harrow is one of over 100 local Minds across England and Wales, and we are proud to offer mental health services tailored to the unique needs of our local community.
During Local Mind Week, we’ll be spotlighting what makes your local Mind special. Through our social media and website, we’ll share stories, stats, and ways you can get involved – whether that’s by donating, volunteering, or simply learning more about what we do.
Why does Local Mind Week matter?
Mind in Harrow provides services that range from youth mental health programmes and peer-led support groups to community outreach and wellbeing activities. This week is a chance to show our supporters, funders, and residents that we are not only here, we’re local, active and making a real difference every day.
We’ll also be promoting:
-
The difference between national and local Minds, and how we work together
-
The impact of our community-led services
-
How you can support us by volunteering your time or making a donation
