DIYA Group Visits the V&A Museum

A joyful and enriching experience for our South Asian peer support group at the Great Mughal Exhibition.

On Thursday 1 May 2025, members of our DIYA Peer Support Group enjoyed a memorable day out at the Victoria and Albert Museum to explore the Great Mughal Exhibition.

The visit was a vibrant success, bringing to life the rich cultural history and artistic beauty of South Asia. For many of our members, this was more than just a museum trip, it was an opportunity to connect deeply with heritage, reflect on shared stories, and engage in thoughtful conversations with one another.

After exploring the exhibition, the group gathered for refreshments and took part in a creative session that quickly turned into a warm and joyful DIYA celebration. Laughter, storytelling, and genuine moments of connection filled the space. It was especially uplifting to welcome some of our newest members and witness how quickly they felt part of the DIYA community.

This outing provided more than cultural enrichment—it offered a real boost to mental wellbeing. The day allowed members to take time away from daily stresses, enjoy a new environment, and return feeling recharged, inspired, and valued.

We are incredibly proud of the positive feedback received and thankful to everyone who made the day so special. Moments like these highlight how DIYA continues to provide a sense of belonging, empowerment, and friendship for South Asian individuals in Harrow.
