At Mind in Harrow, we’re proud to support Mental Health Awareness Week 2025, taking place from 12th–18th May. This year’s theme, ‘Community’, speaks directly to the heart of what we do: creating safe, supportive spaces where people feel seen, heard, and valued.
Being part of a positive community improves our mental health in meaningful ways. Whether it’s through shared experiences, mutual support, or knowing that we’re not alone—connection matters.
Why ‘Community’ Matters
Strong communities can provide a sense of:
💬 Belonging – a place where we feel accepted and understood
🛟 Support – people we can turn to in times of struggle
✨ Purpose – opportunities to help others and be part of something bigger
But not everyone has access to this support. That’s why at Mind in Harrow, we’re working every day to reduce isolation, fight stigma, and build inclusive, welcoming services across the borough—particularly for young people, ethnically diverse communities, and those most affected by mental health challenges.
How We’re Getting Involved
To mark the week, we’ll be:
✅ Hosting a stall at St. George’s Shopping Centre on the 12th of May to raise awareness and connect with the public
✅ Running community activities across our services to celebrate wellbeing and togetherness
✅ Sharing tips, stories, and mental health resources on our social media channels
Whether you’re attending an event, talking to a friend, or simply checking in with yourself—every small action counts.
Let’s Celebrate and Strengthen Our Communities
This Mental Health Awareness Week, we invite everyone in Harrow to reflect on how community impacts their mental wellbeing—and how we can all play a part in building a kinder, more connected world.
