Mind in Harrow was delighted to attend recent meetings hosted by Lions Club Zone E and the Lions Club of London Kingsbury to mark World Mental Health Day. Lions Clubs play a vital role both locally and globally by raising awareness, providing training, and championing mental health and well-being in the communities they serve.
The Lions Clubs play a vital role both locally and globally in supporting mental health initiatives — from funding projects to providing practical training and raising awareness about emotional wellbeing. Their commitment to serving the community aligns closely with Mind in Harrow’s mission to ensure everyone in Harrow has access to the mental health support they need.
As part of this collaboration, Mind in Harrow and the Lions Club of London Kingsbury are exploring ways to build stronger partnerships that will enhance local support for mental health. A key focus of these discussions has been supporting Harrow’s South Asian community, which faces unique challenges in accessing culturally appropriate mental health care.
We are deeply grateful to the Lions Clubs for their ongoing engagement and look forward to continuing our work together to reduce stigma and build a more connected, resilient community.
