What is User Involvement?
This when you are at the heart of assessing how good or bad services are then deciding how to make improvements. You can have a real say in how YOUR services are managed.

How can I be involved?
You can become a member of the Harrow User Group (HUG) Benefits include:

  • A free Quarterly Newsletter with up to date news and reviews about mental health issues.

        HUG Summer Newsletter

  • Invitations to monthly meetings with Guest Speakers.

Next HUG meeting  is on Wednesday 28th July from 1.00 to 4.00

at  Harrow Baptist Church, College Road, Harrow HA1 1BA

       HUG July Meeting Flyer

  • Invites to Quarterly Forums where you will have the chance to tell Senior Managers your concerns.

Next HUG Forum is on Wednesday 15th September 12.15 to 4.00 at Harrow Baptist Church, College Road, Harrow HA1 1BA

You can also become a User Representative (Rep)

How much time will it take?
It's up to you. When you join the Harrow User Group, you can choose just to receive the benefits or become a more active member as a Rep.

If I become a Rep what would I be doing?
You would help review different Mental Health Services within a small working group. Each working group consists of a mixture of Workers, Users and Senior Managers. Each person's voice has an equal weight.

But I don't have the skills or confidence to be a involved as a Rep.
Mind in Harrow will provide full training and support if you consider being an active member.

What else is in it for me if I choose to be a Rep?

  • A fee of £18 is paid for each session you attend.
  • You will have valuable input into planning and review of the Mental Health Services in Harrow.

What do I do now?
Email us your Name, Address, Telephone No. and we can add you to the Harrow User Group monthly mailing for news on meetings and events.

Or you could give us a ring on 020 8515 7868.
