The Stepping Stones Yoga programme at Mind in Harrow offers a structured, gentle approach to physical and mental wellbeing. We know that the first step toward a new activity can sometimes feel daunting, which is why our sessions are specifically designed to be supportive, inclusive, and low-pressure.

Yoga is more than just physical exercise; it is a holistic practice that connects the body and the mind. Whether you are looking to improve your mobility or find a sense of calm in a busy week, Stepping Stones provides the perfect environment to start your journey.

What to Expect from the Programme

Our sessions focus on gradual progress and comfort. You do not need to be flexible or have previous experience to join us. The course encourages:

  • Mindfulness and Relaxation: Learn breathing techniques and poses that help quiet the mind and reduce symptoms of stress and anxiety.

  • Physical Mobility: Gentle stretching and guided movements aimed at improving your flexibility and balance at your own pace.

  • Gradual Strengthening: Building physical confidence through structured practice that respects your body’s limits.

  • A Supportive Environment: Practising alongside others from the local community who are also focused on their well-being.

Commitment and Deposits

To ensure that as many people as possible can benefit from this programme, we operate a deposit system. A £10 deposit is required to secure your place on the course.

We want to encourage consistent practice, as this is how the most significant well-being benefits are achieved. Therefore, your £10 deposit will be fully refunded to you at the end of the programme, provided you attend at least 80% of the sessions. This system helps us manage small group sizes and ensures that those committed to the course have the opportunity to participate.
