Art Exhibitions

Over the years, members of the Art group have produced some amazing art work which has been showcased at exhibitions.  In recognition of the talents and excellent artwork created by our Personal Budget Art Group, we collaborated with Westphoto at the University of Westminster to put on a joint exhibition at their Harrow campus of work by our service users with their students in October 2017.

Service Users Artwork

Below are some other examples of the brilliant artwork created by the service users of the Art Group which were included in the art exhibition in partnership with Westminster University students.

National Mind Calendar 2017/18

The art group were given an opportunity to submit some of their favourite pieces of art to the National Mind for the Mind calendar.  Out of all the artwork submitted by the national Mind and local Minds located across England and Wales, three pieces were chosen from Mind in Harrow’s Personal Budget Art group to appear in the 2017/2018 Mind Calendar.

Personal budgets

The Writing For Recovery Group may be paid for with a personal budget, which is a sum of money given to people who are assessed as eligible based on their support needs. Personal budgets allow people to choose what kind of support they would like, meaning their mental health needs can be met in a more individualised way. To find out more and see examples of how people have used their personal budgets, check out Disability Rights UK's guide to personal budgets.

You must be assessed as eligible for a personal budget; if you have not already done this, ask your social worker, care co-ordinator or key worker.

Professionals can use this form to refer people to our Personal Budget courses.

Quality of teaching assessed

Harrow Council Adult Community Learning has recently assessed the quality of our Art Group and confirmed the high standard of teaching and support to service users.
