Diya – Kensington Palace Trip

08/10/2026, 11:00 AM - 5:00 PM

DIYA is organising a community trip to Kensington Palace in London, allowing participants to spend time together and explore the palace and its exhibitions.

This has been a royal residence for more than three centuries and has a fascinating history. Originally known as Nottingham House, the building was transformed into a palace after William III and Mary II chose it as a royal retreat in 1689. Over the years, the palace became home to a number of members of the Royal Family and played an important part in the lives of several generations.

Today, Kensington Palace remains a working royal residence, while parts of the historic palace are open to visitors. Guests can explore the State Apartments, gardens and exhibitions, learning more about the people and stories connected with the building.

The trip will include a visit to the Three Princesses exhibition, located at Kensington Palace in Kensington Gardens. The exhibition provides an opportunity to discover more about the lives and stories connected to three generations of royal women and explore the history of Kensington Palace.

This trip also provides an opportunity to enjoy this historic setting while spending time with others and discovering more about the stories connected to Kensington Palace. Community trips can be a great way to explore new places, enjoy shared experiences and connect with other people outside of our usual surroundings.
