Stepping Stones

The Stepping Stones Service believes in the power of community and support for individuals facing mental health challenges in Harrow.

Stepping Stones is a free service run by Mind in Harrow, in partnership with our dedicated Stepping Stones tutors. We offer community classes for people in Harrow with mental health needs, creating a welcoming and inviting environment for all.

STEPPING STONES

All of our Stepping Stones courses are FREE and available to anyone who is currently dealing with or has dealt with mental health challenges in Harrow, this also includes full-time carers.

The goal of this project is for those who find engaging in mainstream classes challenging for a wide variety of reasons to feel safe and comfortable attending our classes and get all the physical and mental health benefits that exercise and regular contact in the community bring.

We ran this project all through 2024 and have seen some fantastic and powerful examples of people overcoming their challenges to access our courses and seeing the positive changes that doing so has made to their lives. We are so excited to be running the courses in 2025 and are hoping to reach more new people than ever before.

We are happy to announce that applications are now open for the Summer 2025 Mind in Harrow Stepping Stones classes. This term, we will be offering: 
 
Online Yoga on Zoom – Mondays at 2 pm-4 pm 
Monday 2nd June – Monday 22nd September 
 
Yoga at Harrow Arts Centre – Tuesdays at 11:30 am-1:30 pm
Tuesday 3rd June – Tuesday 16th September
 
Pilates at Harrow Arts Centre – Wednesdays at 12midday-1pm 
Wednesday 4th June – Wednesday 17th September
